PC based Digital Recording & Remote Viewing CCTV Systems
The x-vision PCDVR systems are designed for plug & play use in any compatible Windows PC, simply install the cards supplied in the PC, load the drivers and software supplied, plug in your cameras (not supplied), set up the required features & your PC has become one of the most powerful CCTV systems in the world.
Optional Audio Recording The PCDVR software can record sound digitally on to the hard drive from audio cameras. The 15 fps version does not support audio, the 30 fps version is available with 1 channel Audio recording, and the 120 fps with 4 channel Audio recording.
Optional Pan Tilt Zoom Camera Control The PCDVR software supports control of pan tilt zoom cameras (requires the XVISPTZ - PTZ interface) both locally and remotely, via modem to modem or Internet connections.
Digital Watermark To ensure that the recordings made by the PCDVR software are secure all the recordings are individually dated and digitally watermarked.
15, 30 & 120 fps (frames per second) versions / Adjustable Frame Rate for Recording As well as a choice of camera capacity, the PCDVR system is also available with a choice of 3 different cards, which each have a different frame rate, 15, 30 and 120 fps, these rates relate to the number of images that are captured per second.
The economy card offer a 15 fps capture rate which is 2x the images an equivalent time lapse video recorder/multiplexer based system would record, this is suitable for domestic properties and small business use, or for those on a budget.
The standard card offers a 30 fps capture rate, which is 4x the images an equivalent time lapse video recorder/multiplexer based system would record, this is ideal for large domestic and small to medium sized business applications.
The professional card records 120 fps which is 16x the images than an equivalent time lapse video recorder/multiplexer based CCTV system, and is recommended for use in high-risk applications and large businesses.
All the cards offer better than SVHS recording quality.
The number of cameras being used on the cards will also have some bearing as to which frame rate is required, since the maximum number of frames (images) the software can record is automatically divided amongst the active cameras, for example on a 30 fps card, if 3 cameras detect movement and start recording at the same time the frame rate of the active cameras will be 10 fps each, on a 120 fps up to 12 cameras could record at the same time at a rate of 10 fps each.
It is also possible to give cameras a High or Low priority, this will then apply more frames to High priority cameras at the expense of Low priority cameras.
Timer Recording To further increase the recording time available on your hard drive and to ensure the software is only recording when you require it to. A weekly, monthly and yearly timer can be set-up quickly and easily.
Ease of Use & Security All the features of the software are quick and easy to set up via your mouse and keyboard. The software also incorporates a multi level password structure, which allows you to set-up different level of access for different users; access to set-up features, playback, individual cameras and remote access can be specified.
Camera Compatibility The system is compatible with all industry standard CCTV cameras, B/W or Colour.
Remote Viewing Frame Rates The PCDVR system is designed to offer a maximum of 25 fps during remote viewing, however this is restricted by network & modem performance. The following rates are based on customer feedback and independent tests.
Over Modem 1~2 frames per second / camera Over ISDN 2~8 frames per second / camera Over ADSL 4~15 frames per second / camera Over LAN 15~25 frames per second / camera
Recording Times The following chart shows the amount of space required to store recordings at 320x240 resolution recording, the figures shown are estimations based on movement for 50% of the day, recording video only (audio recording will reduce recording times by half) actual times will vary according to how often the cameras detect movement and the quality and resolution settings, the number of cameras connected makes no difference to the storage space required. Once the Hard Drive is full the system will either warn you or automatically start re-recording over the previous recordings.
